BirdNest Chair

The “chair” is carved from one piece of wood. It was from a Spruce tree in the artist’s backyard that was blown down in a storm. The previous year, it had a Crow's nest at the very top from which Clara watched as a (big) Baby Crow took its first (sort of) flight....which was not very graceful as it bounced from one padded limb to another, buffering its fall to the ground. All was well though, as the parents called to the baby from the woods. Baby Crow followed the voices, and the family was reunited.
